On this Thankful Thursday, I am grateful that Avies Gennaro is a part of my life. I first met Avies when she was enrolled in my graduate course at Webster University. She is an outstanding student with a distinguished work career in management at FedEx. She always went beyond what was assigned. After her graduation, I asked her to substitute for me on several occasions when I had to be away. The student reviews were always outstanding. I was delighted when she joined the Webster faculty teaching in the undergraduate program. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree. The joy of teaching is found in the success of your students. She and her husband, Vincent, are devoted grandparents. He had a great career in the aeronautics industry. On this Thankful Thursday, I am grateful that Avies Gennaro is part of my life.
