On this Thankful Thursday I am thankful for the presence of Ann Fox in my life. I look forward to her cheerful greeting every Sunday morning. Ann is a confirmed back seat Baptist. When she was growing up in Texas her father was the pastor of both a Baptist and Presbyterian church after graduating from Southwestern. She is fervent about having classical church music and loves the organ and choir as much as I do. She directed/managed/master-minded Carol and my wedding. She is a very positive, encouraging, optimistic woman with a keen sense of humor and devilish grin. Her hospitality knows no bounds.  Ann is a missionary for the joy that is available to all Christians. Ann came to First Baptist in 1941. After she met and married Bob, they migrated to Citadel Square, but after a few years came back to FBC. Ann and Bob were married at FBC and so was her daughter. On this Thankful Thursday I am grateful for the presence of Ann Fox in my life.

Thankful Thursday is a day each week to recognize someone who is important in your life. Send him or her a note, call her or him on the telephone or send an E-mail. Any way you choose to do it is fine. The crucial requirement is that you do let her/him know of your gratitude. You will make the person’s day and you will feel better also. It is the classic win-win activity.
