On this Thankful Thursday I am thankful for the gifts that Beverly Bradley brings to my life.  Beverly grew up in Gaffney, South Carolina. From the very first day that I walked into First Baptist Church of Charleston, I have been astounded by the presence of so much talent, so many gifts and so many generous spirits. I had known Beverly as a talented and skilled nurse/educator at Trident Technical College and we have served together on many committees. Several months after our Worship Minister and Organist, David Redd, died, Beverly took over the playing of the organ. I had no idea of her musical abilities. I have watched her grow as an accomplished organist. It has been one of the truly great experiences of my church life. I know what her work at the college involves, but somehow she finds the time and energy to practice and prepare for the many services at the church. On Sunday mornings I marvel at the results. Beverly has distinguished herself in many ways: as a wife and mother, her academic accomplishments, her service on the First Baptist School Board, her service on the diaconate and as a church member, but her gift to us each Sunday is in an entirely different realm. Thank you, Beverly.

Thankful Thursday is a day set aside to recognize the gifts of someone to our lives. Let her or him know of your gratitude. Develop an attitude of gratitude. Say Something Nice: Be a Lifter. You will be glad that you did.
