We are all in a state of becoming. None of us are who we once were nor are any of us the person we will be. The nature of life is change. It is never static. Life is always becoming something new, something different, something exciting. Life is always revealing, showing us something we have not experienced before and will never experience again. We must be attuned to experience the moment or it will pass us by unexplored for what it has to offer.

Don’t let go of your grip or drop your gaze too quickly. Focus your entire being as much as you know how. Squeeze the fleeting moment as hard as you can. Don’t be in a hurry to pronounce it unimportant or of no consequence. We are changed forever by such moments. A touch no matter how light or fleeting is still a touch. A breath no matter how tenuous is still life.

We are in the process of being created. At this moment we are an evolving masterpiece still in the potter’s hands. We are being turned, molded, trimmed, shaped, fired, cleaned, and polished. Many of us have been dropped, broken, chipped and are being re-created, but the potter has not discarded a single one of us ever. There are no throw a-ways. There is no waste material. Everything is useful. Everything has a purpose. All moments are necessary for the exquisite design that each one of us is becoming.

How wonderful to know that we are not a finished product destined to sit on a shelf and collect dust or be ignored. We have not been created to merely observe the world passing us by. No! We are becoming. What a transforming idea. We are not finished. We are becoming.
