THE INCREDIBLE BEAUTY…WARMTH AND LOVE OF Christ
Not a day goes by that we are not inundated with the latest news of a killing and asked to join the mob of public opinion calling out for revenge and furthering the cycle of violence that surrounds us. The armaments of the inner city speak their hatred every night and ask us to arm for our “protection”.
I awoke this morning with a different vision, that of a world of love, warmth and kindness forgiving the minor slight and seeking a cure for the wave of anger that surrounds us. In place of looking for someone to blame what a different world is a life born in Christ’s teaching giving kindness, love and charity as a daily staple.
In the simple act of not repeating the latest bit of anger and fear we cross a special threshold that changes the subject to one of love, compromise, sharing and beauty. Our Savior crossed that threshold every day He awoke and moved forward to share His special parables that we might learn a different path.
The earth was not created in a single instant and a loving world is made up of millions of bits of kindness and generosity that are within your soul this very instant. We have within us that special alchemy the Lord intended that can calm the angry sea of life and create a safe harbor in which we can all live in peace.
As that fabled song of old said “Love is a many splendored thing”, a shining orb of promise that is the spark for a special eternity. Join with me this day in putting aside the latest bit of anger and replacing it with our prayers and heartfelt action to calm the terrors of the modern world. A life in Christ warms our heart and grants peace to all, it is and will always be the most beautiful spirit and hope for all time.
THE CALM SEA OF LIFE AWAITS THE KIND HEART GIVING FORGIVENESS FOR ANGER, CHARITY FOR GREED AND LOVE FOR HATE…THAT YOU WILL ALWAYS KNOW THIS SPECIAL CHRISTIAN VIRTUE.
